How to Find a Younique Sponsor

How to find a Younique Sponsor - Younique by TheaWondering How to Find a Younique Sponsor?

Did you end up here because you’re wondering how to find a Younique Sponsor that suits you? Need to know how to join Younique but not really sure where to start? Have a few more questions about sponsors before taking the plunge? Let me see if I can offer some guidance by sharing some of the questions that I have been getting since joining Younique myself…

But first…

Recruiting Youniques – Peaks and Valleys

Because of the holidays, it’d been quiet in terms of my recruiting. Actually January sales were a bit dead too, I won’t lie to you…

It’d been maybe two months since I had someone join my team* – and only a few of my gals in the company have had recruits too.

But once January kicked in, properly, so did the queries about joining Younique. Hoorah!

Guess it makes sense that things are quiet over the holiday period. People are wrapped up with festivities and/or they’re strapped (financially). Once payday rolls around, let the recruiting begins!

Anyway I noticed a huge spike in many of my Younique posts about joining us, (especially on this post here that you may have seen?), and so I thought it might be a good time to answer some of these questions that I’ve been getting lately about finding a sponsor. I figure if one person has had it – there are bound to be others so here we go!

FAQs About Younique Sponsors

When the following are in quotes, they are real questions copied and pasted. In other cases, without quotes, they were paraphrased or amalgamated, from several on the same topic!

1. “Could you advise me if you require a sponsor to join Younique and if so how I go about this?”

Yes, you need to have a sponsor in order to join Younique. You can choose to find one on the map on the Yoounique products website.

You can simply Google “younique sponsor near me” (or whatever) to find one, OR you can #jointheateam now. (PS: That’s my team, Thea Team, aka The A team! Well, I had to say that, right?)

2. “Does it Matter Where Your Younique Sponsor Lives?”

This is actually a very common question

If it does to you, then yes, but realistically-speaking, not in this day and age.

Personally speaking, I have recruits in the US, Canada, Australia and England, and I am based in Glasgow (or Northern California for part of the year).

With Younique you can work your business wherever you are (as long as we are in that region) and you sign up under or have people sign up under you from anywhere! How cool is that?

Yep, I have a truly global company right now! 🙂

I signed up under a woman in the Scottish Highlands, who was a friend-of-a-friend. I had never met her but had spoken to her on the phone.

She has since left the business, so I was then placed under her sponsor who I don’t really know too well, but hey, she’s there if I need her.

3. “I am wanting to know if it is better to go under a black sponsor or white (does it matter) what kind of sponsor I have?”

Wow, this is an excellent question, which I heard today, in fact. Here’s what I told her (though slightly edited):

I personally think you should just pick whoever resonates with you…to be honest.

Once you’re in, you will gradually gravitate toward some higher ups. Find someone whose willing to mentor/coach you – if you need it!

I suppose I’d say go with someone who is ambitious, and is actively working their business, so probably not white or even yellow really. Chose Pink or above.

That said, whites and yellows have to get some recruits to promote up – so that’s not a hard and fast rule either. Follow your gut!

Welcome Sharon - she's the latest to #jointheateamOn that note, what I’ve done to help any of my recruits, who are proactively working their business, is I’ve had some recruits sign up under them*.

If I see someone starting out who’s working their business and struggling to get recruits for whatever reason, and I know they really want to promote up, I essentially give them my recruits! That’s why I’ve personally not had any new recruits for a while (until today when I welcomed Sharon my team).

I’m in the process of writing an interesting, if a little controversial, blog about sponsors and uplines. Look out for that one soon, but in the meantime, I’d say it doesn’t hugely matter who your sponsor is, as your success will ultimately be down to you.

There are so many Younique FB groups to join, a good “back office”, loads of webinars and youtube videos…

If anything, it’s like trying to drink a sip of water from a fire hydrant (there’s that much Younique stuff out there).

I believe you’ll find your path. You’ll find the people and the channels to work your business your way, if you want to.

So no you are not necessarily better off signing up under a Black vs Blue for instance.

4. Does my sponsor make money off me?

This is asked a lot in a variety of ways (so therefor not in actual quotes).

Basically I believe the question is “Do you as my sponsor benefit by me joining your team?”

The answer is a tricky one. It’s actually a yes and no response!

I don’t make any money off of someone just joining my Younique team.

  • As a sponsor, I don’t make money on you joining and simply buying your kit.
  • I only make money when I start to qualify for pink and above. So if I qualify for pink, blue, green etc…I make varying percentages on my whole downline – that’s my recruits and theirs too. (Yippee)
  • So really how you start to make any real money with Younique is, you have to sell the basic requirements for each level (e.g. for pink and blue 250 personal sales, green and orange 500 personal sales on up…) – as well as to help my team promote up too. With Younique, you can’t promote up past Yellow – without having a team, and you can’t really earn on your team until you start promoting to the higher levels.
  • I’ve had several recruits join my team and then never sell anything at all, and then drop off.

So they didn’t benefit me at all.

Incidentally, for every ten or so who join my team – two or three seem to actually work their business.

More than a year later, I’ve finally started to get a team of women who are working Younique, and that benefits me, which is awesome.

If you hope to make some real money with Younique, then you have essentially two ways – 1) you will need to recruit well and train them to recruit too…or 2) you will need to be a rock star seller – who sells, sells, sells tons of products!

5. “My sponsor resigned, and corporate filled in the blank with another person. Can this be changed? Can I be part of your team? Do you have any idea how that would work? Can you make that happen as an up line person?”

Oh boy, I sure wish I could! My own sponsor resigned too as I said, and they simply re-assigned me to her sponsor. That is just how it works. I’ve had several people expressing dismay with their sponsors lately…I wish it were just so simple to say “move over to mine”!

Sadly it’s not.

The thing is folks, you don’t really know how your sponsor will be until you sign up with them.

To be honest, I am pretty sure I too would not have “100% approval rating”!

Not everyone will love my ways, and so they go looking for other Youniques to show them the way.

That’s the good thing about Younique – if you have a sponsor you’re not totally enamoured with you, then there are other people out there to lean on for support or learn from.

Bottom line? Your success is not down to the sponsor you choose so don’t over think it.

Yes they can be helpful and supportive, true, but if they are not, it’s your job to find your support elsewhere.

As I have said, there are masses of groups on FB, webinars and tutorials, articles, blogs and so forth.

Your sponsor really won’t be in charge of your success (or failure).

What you really ought to hope for in a sponsor is someone to lean on when you need some help, advice, or who will prop you up when you feel like giving up (and honestly there are days when all of us feel like giving up…and some actually do!)

You need to persevere in this business – it’s not an easy one. You may want to check out My Year in Younique – for more info on my personal journey.

Do You Need a Younique Sponsor?

If you need a Younique sponsor and feel like I might be it, then go ahead and jointheateam now! You don’t have to clear it with you. If you feel led to join my team then I am super happy to have you!

#JoinetheAteam - Younique by Thea

If you want to ask more questions about Younique, then please feel free to get in touch here on the blog, via email 3dlashes (at) youniquebythea.com or ring me on my US (408 353 0434) or UK  (0141 416 1492) numbers – if you’re more of a phone person. Old school! You can reach out seven days. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

If you have a sponsor already and have questions please try them first! That’s what they’re there for!

A Relaxed but Supportive Younique Sponsor

As a Younique sponsor, please know that I don’t push or prod my team at all. Well, unless they tell me they want me to. 🙂

At the end of the day, when you sign up with Younique, it’s your business to work or not work. I’m not your boss. It’s not my job to make anyone work, or sell or recruit. That’s down to the individual. You do what works for you!

I do let my team know that I am here for them any time, and I can do video coaching any time eg via Google Hangouts.

If you decide you’d rather go for a black status presenter or someone more local to you – then that’s fine too!

Please just find someone who’s working their business, who you feel sells well online (in a non-spammy way!) and be prepared to do your own thing if they turn out to be disappointing in anyway!

That even holds true if you join my team too! 😉

Here is my archive of all My Week in Younique posts – which may help you too!

My Week in Younique x 2

Don’t believe I ever managed to post last week’s ‘Week in Younique’ update – so here I go again.

Well, it was the holidays this week, so you’ll have to forgive me…To be honest, there has not been a ton of things to report anyway, but will update just the same.

It was quite a shuffle about to make sure my entire team had enough of the 3D Fiber Lash Mascaras to go around for the holidays. Thankfully, I had deliberately ordered extra to cover any shortages. So the last week before Christmas was a lot of juggling about – meeting up and handing off the mascaras to the girls! My dear friend Karen sold over twenty! That was more than most of the team combined. I am simply in awe of her achievement!

Recruitment Has Been Slow

Want to make extra money playing with makeup? Click the pic to learn how! There have been no new additions to the team – or even my company – since my last updateJust nine – including me!

Hopefully that will change in the New Year – as people look to make some changes to their lives.

Younique is perfect for anyone who likes makeup, selfies and socializing (online or off!!)

How can you beat getting paid a minimum of 20% of every sale – all for posting on social media channels of your choice?

Not only that but get paid daily!

And as you work your way up the status levels, you get paid 25% then 30%. (As I passed yellow am sitting at 25% but aiming for that 30%!)

Those are a few of the reasons I personally joined Younique, of course, but another of the many things I love most about Younique is its flexibility.

What do I mean by that? Well, the fact you can do Younique simply for some pocket money, or you can work it like a real business that you want to retire in a year or two on. Last month we had our first two millionaires. Not back for a company just over 2 years old!

How you do your Younique business is up to you. No two of my team members does it the same way and that’s a beautiful thing!

Ideally, I’d like to personally take it all the way to the top (Black Status!!) and to find other people who want to do the same!

So am currently searching for some positive, self-motivated, ambitious people who want to work smart and like to think “out of the box”. If that’s you – please join #theAteam today! 🙂

Naturally I welcome the kit-snatchers (those who just want to buy the kit for the makeup), the hobbyists (who want to sell only to their family and friends) too – but really what would be the greatest scenario – would be find some gung-ho workers who are as keen as me!

For such a small, one-off outlay to have your own company with your own website that’s live the moment you join, what do you have to lose? Try it for a few months, and if you don’t like it, you got some make up out of it! Well that’s how I went into it anyway…

Now though, I am hooked!

Saving My Best News for Last…

Pink Level Status - Younique By TheaJust logged onto my Younique website this afternoon, only to discover that, while I was out, I reached Pink Level Status. That means all four of my goals have been achieved in my two months of being a Younique Presenter.

The first was White, then Yellow then Fast Start and now Pink!

The exciting thing about Pink is that you start to make money off of your team. I’ll take all I can get, thankyouverymuch! 🙂

See ya next year! I can’t believe it’s 2015 almost! What do you plan to achieve in 2015? Where will it take you? Time to write it all down…Those goals of yours!

If you need inspiration about Goals. then check out this…It’s only 5 hours…LOL! Been driving around this past month listening to this on cassette (you may be too young to know what that even is!)!

You’re welcome. x

My Week in Younique – Hello Fast Start!

My Week in Younique – Hello Fast Start!

I made money while I slept again last night – what did you do? Waking up to emails that say how much I earned over night make me very happy! Also, I woke up to a notification saying I’d reached ‘Fast Start’ too (my third goal for joining Younique – but more on that in a minute!!) What a great start to this week’s update – which will, admittedly, be decidedly mixed…

Younique Milestones to Date

Made it to Fast Start - Younique By Thea

My first goal was to reach White Level status – which is an easy achievement at just 125 points (effectively dollars). That’s basically a few mascaras (4 or 5) and then that’s you!

To stay as an active Younique presenter, you need to do that every 3 months. No problemo there!

The second was much tougher – Yellow Level Status – which is 1000 personal points (effectively dollars). The great thing about Yellow is you get a pay rise from 20% to 25% forever and you get a yellow charm for the bracelet!3dmascaralips

Fast Start was my third goal because it gets you another wee charm for the bracelet and more excitingly $250 worth of FREE products. I’ve had my eye on the biggest collection so now’s a good time to grab that one!

One of my newest recruits on #theateam Karen has taken orders for twenty of the Moodstruck 3D Mascaras! An incredible feat. So very proud of her.

Not only Karen has done well this week, Julie has both done well on mascara orders but also sponsored her first team mate Ann-Marie. Both those ladies are doing amazingly well so far!

Now The ‘Less Than Stellar News’

Well, I aim to be telling as true of a story as possible  on my blog – without dissing the company. Myself and my team have had some challenges with orders so far.

Younique 3D mascaras stuck in England
My 3D Mascaras are hanging out in Middlesex it seems!

Like the mascaras that have been sitting in England for days. They travelled to California from Utah then made it as far as England and then got stuck! Worryingly it’s been 20 days since they were ordered.  Also none of my company members (we’re up to 8 in total) have received their starter kits which makes things challenging for them to promote their businesses.

All of my previous orders were received in plenty of time (less than 2 weeks), but my guess is that the UK has done so incredibly-well (better than expected) that they simply were slammed both in Utah at corporate and in England where they need to go through Customs. Couple that with the fact Christmas is just around the corner, and it feels like there may be a bottleneck.

But this is purely all speculation on my part. I’ve had no confirmation from Younique about this. And really if they got this far – and are stuck in England it doesn’t seem like it’s Younique at fault…Just sayin’.

There have been no recruits (not that I’ve tried really super hard, but there have been sales from strangers which makes me very pleased. Today’s Fast Start was achieved by one such person who simply logged on to buy three 3D Fiber Lash Mascaras from me. I’ll take it any way I can get it!!

This Younique Week Summary

Well that’s about it. I have moments of doubt (usually when I see something negative written about Younique) which makes me question the journey I am on. Then I go to sleep and I wake up and money has arrived so my faith is restored once more!

Hopefully my mascaras will arrive this week and I can start getting ones to those who’ve ordered through me, and sell the rest to those who may need them fast – aka before Christmas. I hope too my team can fulfill all their orders – there must be 50 between us ordered now…Just hope the bottle neck is freed soon!

Finally I nearly forgot to say that I am about 480 point shy of PINK LEVEL STATUS. A few more orders through my Younique site – or from my team – and I’ll achieve that!! That is my main goal for the rest of this month. Tune in next week to see if I achieve it! Wish me luck! Thanks for reading!

My Week in Younique – Update #1

My Week in Younique - Post # 1

My Week in Younique – Update #1

Good morning and so a new month begins! Have just finished month one, and am here to report the journey, so far, as honest as possible (while not breaching any terms of my contract!) 🙂

Younique Yellow Status

Thea Newcomb | Yellow Younique Presenter in the 1st month. The first milestone was achieving White level status. It’s pretty easy to do as it’s only selling about five of the 3D Fiber Lash Mascaras in a month. “Check!”

Towards the end of the month, I reached Yellow Level Status which, in order to do so, is a solo effort of selling 2000 points (which is effectively 2000 dollars).

I nearly hit the third level Pink – which is a team effort – but fell short a few hundred.

I will admit that it was tempting to whip out the credit card and do a round of Christmas shopping in one-fell-swoop just to reach Pink – but in the end, I resisted. 😉

It sort of defeats the purpose of running your own business when you’re the top customer – don’tchathink?

Younique December Goals

Well, I am happy I hit Yellow, but disappointed to have missed Pink, so I am evaluating the goals for the coming month. That’s gotta be Pink, maybe even Blue and to achieve “Fast Start” ASAP. I think I can do that last one in a week or so!

Incidentally ‘Fast Start’ qualifications are based off of the following two requirements that you need to meet within 90 days after signing up:

1. $2000 in Personal Retail Sales — nearly there!!
2. Sponsor at least 3 new Presenters — done!

Once this is achieved, I will receive a “Fast Start” charm to go with my White and Yellow charms, and I’ll get some free makeup too! “Merry Christmas” to me! So those are my December Goals.

#theAteam Expands

Welcome to theAteam - so far!#TheAteam (aka Team Thea!) has grown beyond just me. It took 18 days to get my first team mate (was a lonely three weeks there), but now I am pleased to report that there are now six in my team.

Five women one, straight man. Said man has recruited someone already as well – so that’s 8 people in my wee company in one month!

We’re all just learning and trying different things to see what works. What works for me may not work for each of my team.

The beauty of Younique is that it’s flexible for people to do as little or as much as they want. In addition to the above goals, my aim this month will be to recruit and develop my lovely team so they can make the most of their Younique opportunity!

So far my team is consisted of people I know (some really well) – which is awesome. Eventually though it will be filled with people who don’t know me yet…

Let’s Talk Younique Money

Ok so you may be curious about the money. How have I done? I don’t believe I am allowed to give actual figures (will need to check with compliance) – but let’s just say I’ve doubled my initial investment. Not quite enough to pay my mortgage – I don’t think – but it’s close!

Plus, again, that was without a team for 18 days. Just little ole me. So yes, lovely people, you can make money at this if you really want to. I am committed to doing so.

Get paid quicker with Younique mastercardI have had some challenges getting paid via PayQuicker, but this was more to my being an American in Britain – and not having the right “Government Issued” IDs to hand…

DVLA is sending my updated licence – so that, along with my National Insurance card, should have me sorted this week. Yippee!

Then the money will get either transferred to my bank account or it will just go onto my Younique debit card, and I’ll start spending that way. That’s going to be a fun day! Just in time for Christmas 🙂

Real Vs Fake 3D Mascara Saga Continues

So I just had a call from some woman – didn’t quite catch her name as it came through on my iPad and was muffled. Plus I was half asleep after working until 1am!

Anyway I believe she said she was from some company that was Digi Sell or DigiSale (I am not quite sure) who is trying to source the Real Vs Fake 3D Mascara claims from my last post.

Listen lovely people, I am not the one who has asserted the claims, only relaying what the Younique community has been reporting in various places on the Tinterweb.

Basically buyer beware…I have not personally seen these possible fake 3D Fiber Lash Mascaras – merely the real ones.

Unless I misunderstood, her due to the faulty connection and half-asleepedness, she points to a certain “hysteria” that has been caused to me – from my last blog. Well this so-called frenzy was going on for weeks before I decided to blog about it, Shop Younique by Theaand simply warn that there may be fakes. Scratch that, there ARE fakes all over the web – which is why I say always buy direct from a Younique presenter. If not me, then one of my “Y-sisters”

Maybe the woman in question is selling them? I am not sure. In any event, no hysteria’s been caused by me, as judging from my analytics, only about 20 people read the actual blog post in question. Hardly hysteria-inducing…

In any event, I am not saying that ALL mascaras on Ebay and Amazon are fakes – or fringing trademark or copyright – I am only saying that if they are for sale outside of youniqueproducts.com – they won’t be officially sanctioned from Younique – or sold by a legitimate presenter – as it breaks our Terms and Conditions to sell anywhere like that!!

We have a busy compliance division who are addressing such claims – so please lady, whoever you are, if you’re reading this – ASK THEM not me.

Try emailing Younique Compliance them here! And, as for the details you couldn’t seem to find for Younique, here they are right from the main website:

A Younique Update – 3 Weeks In

A Younique Update - 3 Weeks In

A Younique Update – 3 Weeks In

Well I’ve been hard at work building my Younique team, bit by bit. Two have signed up. Four more have said that they are joining when paid (but we’ll see…That would be awesome!)

I’ve been learning as much as I can about the products, demonstrating it on willing participants, and watching videos to get to understand the compensation/royalties plan better, too. I’ve also been creating images and sharing them on various social media channels. I’ve been blogging about it (like this Younique “Pyramid Scheme” post over on Linkedin)…and that’s all in just in the past few days!

Sorry, but I can’t shut up about the Younique Opportunity – even though I know I am probably boring some of my friends or connections on social.

I really need to balance it out – as I don’t want to be that girl.

You know, the one everyone avoids like the plague?

In any event, things are going well. Slowly and steady wins the race.

What I love about Younique is the fact that it’s so flexible. People literally can work as little or as much as they want – which is a sort of given (I think?) but also in HOW they want. Some will spend all their time on Facebook. Good luck to them. That won’t be me because as everyone who knows me knows – I have a total love/hate relationship with the platform.

Others will own Instagram. Some will succeed by only holding in-home parties. Others will take a stand at exhibitions or fairs. You can do whatever you want and that’s awesome. I am just trying to work out what will work best for me.

Most likely a combination of blog posts like this – some youtube videos – and the occasional instagram pic too. I’m working out my own way to do that “party” thing because the way my fellow Y-sisters are doing it just doesn’t do it for me!

So it’s a case of trial and error until I find my own Younique Sweet Spot and hey, that’s ok! I will find it. Then, I will pass on that knowledge to my gorgeous team thea aka theA team

My Younique Royalties this Month - Aiming for Yellow - Maybe PinkIn the meantime I am aiming for Yellow status – the biggest personal hurdle.

If I achieve that three hundred or so pounds, then my compensation goes from 20% to 25%. And it will never drop bellow that. Hooray!

Pink would be even better, but quite a bit slimmer of a chance – as I’d need my company to manage £1000 worth of sales this week (“company sales”). Ha. No pressure for #TheA Team – but get selling guys!!

The Future is Younique!

Here are 5 Younique Facts for you!A New Path – That’s Younique!

So I’ve been writing many blogs about Younique both on my own personal blog and also on So You’ve Been Dumped. Incidentally, I don’t recommend trying to write on three different blogs as it’s biting off more than one can chew…

So I think what will happen is that this site will morph into being the main site for my Younique adventure, and the other sites will remain what they were intended to be – namely a personal blog and a website for the romantically challenged.

I think Glatitude works well with Younique because, to me, the Yin Yang symbolizes the inner and outer beauty of us all. It should be even – in my opinion anyway.

So the main focus will be to grow this business and my own team at the same time. I am still happy to deliver one-to-one training on Social Media – where people need it – but from here on in, this site will be uniquely Younique!

And I’ll spend some time building up the Google+ page and the Youtube channel. I’ve created a video page and will be adding videos to the playlist as I come across them.
