This news is so exciting! Three Younique fragrances are being launched this Spring, and honestly I can’t wait to try them. Though I am a bit of a “Tom Boy” – I do love makeup and perfume. I mean I really LOVE them! So I am curious to see which scent I will like best of the three. Read on to learn a bit more about these new Younique fragrances, how the inspiration behind them, what’s in them, and what they’ll smell like.
These three Younique fragrances were actually inspired by co-founder Melanie’s early days with her college sweet heart (now her husband now). The names of each perfume come from actual signatures from the love letters that she wrote to him in those early days of their courtship.
They scents are colour-coded to the phases she experienced – the early stage is purple – that’s the passionate and exciting phase – Passionately Yours, Me™
Then it goes on to the thinking of you/dreaming of you stage – that’s the blue perfume. Dreaming of You, Me™
Finally, the yellow bottle is the deep love stage, “I’m giving myself to you” aka I’m Yours and Only Yours, Me™
The New Younique Fragrances are as follows:
• Passionately Yours, Me™ • Dreaming of You, Me™ • Yours and Only Yours, Me™
Passionately Yours, Me™
An enchanting floral oriental imbued with nuances of fruit.
As if there were not enough on my plate, I’m now adding yet another “C” into the repertoire with coffee. Now I’m officially a purveyor of Cards, Cosmetics and Coffee. While the first two are direct sales companies I run as little sidelines – the real focus going forward for the foreseeable future will be the coffee…So how do all of my businesses tie in with each other? Is there a method to my madness? I believe there is, read on and I will explain.
That’s a good question. It’s understandable to ask why I’d launch my own brand of coffee when I really don’t know that much about it. One reason is that Coffee is the the number one most consumed drink globally. It has proven to be a mood lifter and people who drink it are often very passionate about it. When launching a business, they tend to say that you should be passionate about your product or service, and even though I don’t drink coffee, I am.
Truth be known, it’s not really about the coffee for me. Coffee is simply the vehicle with which to channel my mission or message through.
It has actually occurred to me that my interest may be due to the fact that for my entire life, my dad has drank coffee as if it were his lifeblood. He is heavily involved in helping me for this company and at the time of typing these words is the only person, apart from my logo designer, who even knows the name of the company. But I digress.
Back to being on a mission…
What is My Purpose?
I believe my role in life is to change the way people think. No more so than on soyouvebeendumped.com where around 50,000 lovelorn men and women visit from all four corners of the world every single month.
In addition to simply giving people a space to read and share stories, it’s also my intention to show these people that an ending is just the beginning.
These heartbroken people often need to be reminded that they are enough, regardless of how it may feel at the time. Someone may have chosen to walk away or they’re facing some emotional challenges but there will be a way to turn pain into gain. (Check out the video below).
For positive healing, one must make it their mission to find their gift in their challenging situation – no matter how bad or dark it may seem at the time.
Strangely, or not as the case may be, Younique’s mission is to Uplift, Empower & Validate. That is one of the reasons that I actually joined Youniquein 2014.
Their mission aligned with my own personal ethos, as well as that of So You’ve Been Dumped.
It all ties into this concept of making people feel better about themselves, because, in my experience, we all have some sort of issues about ourselves.
Most of us can feel not pretty enough, smart enough, successful enough, or what have you. This goes for men and women alike. Many of these limiting beliefs will be operating on a deep subconscious level and need to be reprogrammed. Here is where the coffee comes in.
My Coffee Mission
My new brand of coffee will follow similar principles to SYBD…it’s designed specifically to empower its drinkers.
So instead of taking a time out, they will be encouraged to take a time in. What do I mean by that? They’ll be urged to make their coffee, pause while they drink it, in order to check in to see how they’re feeling, note their thoughts, their energy, and take steps to shift it accordingly.
It’s an exciting concept. I can’t say too much this week, but maybe next week. I may even do my first Facebook Live. We’ll see.
Christmas is Coming
In the meantime, if you have any shopping to do, you can always check out my cosmetics on the Younique by Thea shop. Or maybe head over to look at cards, stationery and wrap on my Thea’s Cards site.
Soon you’ll be able to shop for coffee for yourself or someone who needs a pick-me-up. Watch this space.
JOINING YOUNIQUE: How to join, find/choose a sponsor
“How to Become a Younique Presenter” (AKA “How to Join Younique”)
To join Younique, you need to first locate a sponsor to sign up under. There is a recent post which may help you in how to go about how to find a Younique sponsor. There a few things to consider on that score, so it’s worth a read to determine which Younique sponsor to choose for you.
Also, just as an aside, you generally don’t need to contact the sponsor first. I’ve had a handful of my last ten or so recruits who just signed up without even speaking to me. If they’re lead to join my team, then I am most happy to have them! I suspect any Younique presenter would feel much the same. You can’t change Younique sponsor once you’ve joined so do take a moment to monitor them online – and if you do have some questions email before signing up. I have had at least half a dozen emails this year already from people saying they’re not happy with their sponsor but really the sponsor won’t make or break you if you’re determined to work Younique as a business. Read that article to see what I mean by that!
“If I join Younique, will an agent ring me?”
Probably not. They might. I have run someone who’s joined my team but mostly I email straight away (as soon as possible) to welcome them and give them my details should they wish to speak before embarking on their Younique journey. But no, generally it’s not done by phone. Besides I have recruits signing up from the UK, US, Australia and have had Canada. So your sponsor can be anywhere – not necessarily in the country you’re in so email tends to work well.
That all being said, if it were my team the person wanted to join and they asked if I could ring them, then I most certainly would!
“How old do you have to be to sell Younique?”
You need to be 18 years old to join Younique. You can however have a parent sign up on your behalf and then transfer ownership once you are of age. Seems to me it’d be a good mother-daughter business. Or perhaps big sister, which I’d assume would work too, but ask Younique about that just to be 100% certain.
YOUNIQUE MONEY: How much you get paid, how you get paid, commisions, royalties
Now we’re getting into the exciting bit that you’re probably most curious about. I know that I was!
“How does Younique pay its presenters?”
One of the best bits about Younique is that from the moment you sign up and place an order (through one of your own party links), you receive 20% commission immediately. That’s all of your sales as well as anyone else who shops through your site. Three hours later you get paid into a Payquicker account.
One person asked what sort of discount Younique gets expecting it to be on items in their shopping cart but that’s now how it works. You receive your commissions three hours after paying the full price for the products. You don’t buy discounted makeup!
I recently did a blog about Younique presenter levels and commission– which I would urge you to read to understand more fully. Younique presenters all start at 20% commission and rise up to 30% from Green level onwards. (Read that post which talks about each stage)
“How does the Younique MasterCard work?”
Again this is a question that will have been previously asked and answered, but essentially, you get all commissions paid into your PayQuicker account and once you reach 50 PRS*, your card will automatically be sent out to you. (*PRS stands for Personal Retail Sales – and generally equates to one dollar. More on that below).
The Younique card is a MasterCard so you can spend it in a variety of ways:
grab coffees, treats, or meals out with it
pick up your groceries
fill up your petrol/gas tank
buy your train, subway or bus pass
You can also download funds right into your bank account, which I did for a year, but now I’d personally not recommend doing that – as you get charged quite a hefty fee for doing that (which seems a bit bonkers to me but that’s PayQuicker’s prerogative). Downloading into your bank account here in the UK is £2.37 where as shopping online the charge is only fifteen pence which is a lot better! So now I only shop online with it. I’ve it linked up in my Amazon account and have had quite a few shopping sprees with it lately!
Anyway, regardless, that card’s handy-as-heck to have in your wallet, let me tell you.
“Can I make money with Younique?” (UK) (Also known as: “How much income do you make as a new Younique presenter?”)
Sorry lovelies, we are not allowed to talk about numbers and figures unfortunately. Besides, it’s all going to depend on what you sell!
Remember you start by earning 20% on everything from the moment you sign up.
Once you’ve achieved Yellow status (e.g. 1000 PRS which is around £700 pounds) you’ll go up to 25%. I achieved Yellow in the first month or so. Some months
Since I joined Younique, I’ve done “really good” some months, “pretty good” other months, and on some I’ve made nothing!
Will you make money straight away? Profit? Probably not. I really doubt it (just being honest here). I mean you might, some sure do, but in my personal experience (and that of my team) it’s a slow burn.
In short, I’d not recommend signing up only for the money. But if you want to sign up for that, discounted makeup, making new friends and learning loads every single day (about makeup, owning your own business, marketing, and yourself) then this is for sure a good option!
That’s about all I can really say on that score! But you can read more about my experience in My Year in Younique to get the low down on how it’s really been for me!
“How does Younique PRS Work?” (aka How much Younique do you have to sell to make 125 PRS?”)
Once again PRS stands for “Personal Retail Sales” with Younique. 125 is what you, as a Younique presenter, need to sell to remain active – every 90 days.
As I said, PRS really is just based on US dollars, so that 125 is about 5 mascaras’ worth. (4.5 really but you can’t sell four and a half mascaras – so aim for 5!)
Personally I aim, and suggest my team does too, to do that every single month (even double that) – but really you only have to do that on a rolling three-month cycle.
I’ve heard some past presenters whine “it’s hard” because other presenters have started up in their town, village, area, whatever, but to my mind, that’s what makes it hard. Thinking it’s hard. There are dozens of presenters here in the Central Belt of Scotland (and in the Bay Area when I am home in California) and I never stop to think about them.
Heck, I sold 2 mascaras* alone this week – simply by having them with me in my bag! So it’s not really rocket science. Also sold a Splurge Cream Eye Shadow too – so this has been a great week (in addition to a few sales on my website).
Note*: Though all you ever have to buy in Younique is your own kit, I do tend to recommend that people have some 3D lashes on hand (3-5 minimum), if not in your hand bag, then at home. Not all of my team members opt to do that, but I would recommend they did!
Younique FAQs Summary
Well that about wraps up another of my Younique FAQs post for you. There are dozens of questions each week that are coming in which I try to address here as often as possible.
If you need a sponsor, and have any more questions still, then please feel free to reach out to me (3Dlashes (at) youniquebythea.com). Or if you’re ready to join my team just click on the big green box below.
You can contact me first – or just join my team – either way’s 100% fine! If you’re led to join my team then I’d love to have you!
If you do want to join Younique but don’t fancy my team – here is some advice on How to Find a Younique Sponsor – with some things to look out for before signing.
Finally, if you already have joined Younique and have questions, your first port of call should be your sponsor or upline.
Failing that, I will try to help you if I can…but really my energy has to be focused on my own team as a priority. That makes sense, right?
Welcome back to another update of “My Week Younique” – where I try to document my personal experience of being a US/UK Younique presenter and sponsor based in Scotland (or California). I am just back to Glasgow, “Hello Glasgow” after a month in California!
Well I’ll be honest with you, there’s not much to tell personally except for I was excited to see some snow this weekend, so the main focus on today’s post is the upcoming Younique France launch! Before I get to that though, I’ll give you a bit of a Younique “reality check”….
I’ll be honest with you (as I am generally honest to a fault) – this month has been a bit of challenge. We’re just passed the halfway mark, and I’ve not had a single sale through my site. That’s probably not something I should admit to, but as I mentioned before, I do try to be as transparent as possible, and frankly some Younique months are like that. Zilch. Squat. Nada. Zero. At least for me. Maybe not for all the other Youniques, but in my experience it’s highs and lows.
Thankfully, I do doubt this month will end with no sales, but as of yet, there have been none through my site or direct for that matter.
Last January wasn’t hugely better. Coming off the back of Christmas, people tend to be strapped until payday, so here’s hoping for a few sales after that!
And to be fair, I’ve not worked the business as much as I normally do as I was in California for a month – mostly taking it easy. Well, I am back and proactive again. Younique, like most things, takes consistency. So here I am, back at it! Onto the exciting news once more…
Younique in France – Feb 1, 2016
Great news…We’re adding another country to our current regions. Younique is coming to France and I’ll be looking to find men and women there who are interested in running their own part or full time beauty business there.
This is for you all of you beauty consultants, nail technicians, bloggers, makeup lovers or mums who want to work from home. Anyone who loves makeup really. No experience is necessary!
It’s perfect that we are launching in France because it’s a global capital for fashion and beauty. It seems like something that could do very well for the right sort of person.
It’s Europe’s second largest direct sales beauty market, and the French spend on average two hours a day on social media.
Other reasons Younique in France will go down a storm – they are know to have the largest consumption of premium mascara, and of course at Younique – we do a premium mascara!
Also the beauties of France spend more on beauty products per household than any other country in Europe! How could Younique not do well in a country that spends nearly two billion on makeup each year?
So if you’re in Paris, Cannes, Nice or anywhere in between and love make up then please #jointheAteamin two weeks!

Five days in on the “Thea’s 12 Days of Younique” series. Today I’ve decided to feature another product that can be used – young, old, male or female…a totally universal product from Younique. It’s called Divineand it lives up to its name.
Divine Daily Moisturizer
Apply this Divine Daily Moisturizer to your neck and face before you start your day.
Finally I know if you’re anything like me you care about what you put on your skin, so here’s a list of the ingredients of the Divine Daily Moisturizer:
Are you looking for Touch Mineral Liquid Foundation for yourself as a gift for someone else?
Well then, join the club, because many of the ten different shades are completely out of stock.
Since joining Younique as a presenter and sponsor in November of 2014, I have seen many products launch, but we’d always just been known for the 3D mascara (Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+) which is fine. Sure we sell more than fifteen thousand of them a day, that’s great, but we have so many other wonderful products that many people never seem to get to because they just stick with the mascara…
So finally that has actually changed – with one of our newer products the Touch Liquid Foundation.
It’s the first product since I’ve joined – which has actually RIVALED the 3D mascara in popularity!
In the past few months, I’ve had several emails asking about the Touch Mineral Liquid Foundation and when certain shades will be back in stock.
Unfortunately, the news is not brilliant,…The honest answer is – “I don’t know – no one does.”
The frustrating fact that this product has been out of stock for momths now – is largely due to the multitudes of videos that have been doing the rounds about the product.
It has caused such a huge demand for the liquid foundation…that Younique can’t keep it in stock.
Liquid Foundation in Stock?
For the US and Australia – it’s worse news – none is available to order. Yes, it seems that we have become victims of our success.
I apologise, on behalf of Younique, for not having more of this super popular product in stock. As you might imagine, the lighter colours do seem to be going fast – so at the point of writing this post in December, the lighter shades like Scarlet, Organza and Velour are all unavailable. Also Satin and Cashmere and Velvet are also unavailable.
If you were considering any of the other colours, I’d buy them fast in case they go out of stock for several months too. Also if you’re getting it, I would have recommend also buying the powder puff brush for assisting you in the application process but due to popular demand, it too is out of stock until March of 2016. You could try grabbing the Blending Buds though, at least they are in stock right now!
Here’s a line from an email, from a woman called Sharon, that I received tonight:
“Am looking for Velour. My daughter says this is the best foundation she has ever had!!”
That simple testimonial for the Younique Liquid Foundation made me smile. It is pretty great. Don’t just take my word for it, look at the fact 60% of them are sold out!
I’m planning on shooting my own video using the Liquid Foundation, on my 80+ year old father – but until I do – watch this one, it’s kind of funny! 🙂
Alternatives to the Younique Liquid Foundation
If you can’t get our Liquid Foundation, we do have some other products that I highly recommend like the:
If you want to reserve or order any of our face products please just reach out to me here. I can keep you posted. Otherwise if you totally can’t wait, then do pick up that Stroke of Beauty collectionand you will get your foundation sooner than everyone else! Besides, it’s awesome collection, I tell you!
