Does Your 3D Fiber Lashes’ Gel Smell?

Does Your 3D Fiber Lashes’ Gel Smell?

Does your 3D Fiber Lashes’ Gel Smell?

A few people have contacted me on the blog, in the last week or so, to report that their fiber lash mascara’s gel has a terrible stench to it!

To my knowledge, these people have not bought direct from official Younique presenters but rather someone advertising cheap 3D lashes on Facebook, Amazon. Ebay etc..

The real trouble with these fiber lash mascaras is that they look like real 3D fiber lashes, are even said to have the bar code on the back, and yet they stink??

Let me just reiterate Younique’s 3D fiber lash mascara gel has no smell whatsoever!! If yours stinks, then I suspect you have bought one from a counterfeit batch and not from an authorised presenter.

I am currently trying to ascertain where exactly these women have bought their lashes from (probably Ebay or Amazon!!) and particularly if it’s the same seller.

Once I do find out, I’ll make sure I report them to Younique, officially so that the compliance team can take action.

Regardless, they will not be sanctioned mascara on sites like Amazon or Ebay. We are not allowed to sell them there or other sites like that (Craigslist, Gumtree etc)!

Be Safe with Your Eyes

Younique's Love our 3D Fiber Lashes - and all our products - or your money backSure you may save yourself a bit of money picking up a cheap set of lashes to try them out, but at what cost in the long run?

You don’t have the same guarantee that 1) they are legit (e.g. naturally-based), and also 2) you don’t have the 100% certainty of your money back in our “love it guarantee” if you’re not 100% happy with the product. So why risk it?

Please buy your 3D Fiber Lashes direct from Younique itself (if not me on my site, then another authorised presenter local to you!) NOTE: As long as you are in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand or Canada you can buy from me. If there is any trouble I will guide you, and ensure you’re satisfied with the products!

Fake 3D Fiber Lash Buyers!

Beware of Fake Younique Mascara - this is what the real 3D Fiber Lashes look like!

Buyers beware! If you have bought some “smelly”, or False 3D Fiber Lashes, could you be so kind to share the link to who you bought from below? Or even take a picture or the packaging (if you have it still!) That would be so helpful so that people don’t make the same mistake…

Share this blog with anyone who’s been looking for some cheap 3D lashes online! Make sure they buy the real deal from Younique Products! OK?

I bought what I thought was younique lashes from a seller on and the gel smells horrible! I went back and looked at my order history on Amazon, and according to that they came from the seller Modere’. Hope this helps.

Thank you for submitting the person you bought the cheap 3D mascara off of ON Amazon. There are literally zillions of people selling these smelly fake younique fiber lashes – it’s very disheartening to see this. Many of those will be falling prey to them and thinking they’re a terrible product (because they’re counterfeit with dif ingredients).

If you ever need to buy a real ones – please pop back 😉 Thanks again for the comment.

That link didn’t work for me (says it’s ended). I found his profile — bgoodman719.

We Younique presenters are not allowed to buy low and sell cheap like that. The mascara is $29 in the US – end of story. So I’d say he’s lying. What I have heard people suggest is asking for a link to their Younique website…which of course won’t happen because he doesn’t have one. 🙂

Sorry you got caught out. Hope you got it refunded. More info on this Did You Buy a Fake Fiber Lash Mascara blog about naming & shaming these knock-off makeup sellers!

Those counterfeit 3D Fiber Lashes seem to look damn real down to the barcode – but they’re not…and the certainly don’t smell!!

Plus in the picture of the one I think you bought the insert directions are different! Close but different!

My mascara came this morning and the gel stinks like a strong permanent marker! I bought it off a seller on ebay called missdeniss. I sent a message explaining I was it happy and want a refund but I haven’t had a reply. The price advertised for it is £4.99 and I paid an 80p cost for next day delivery. The add states “New Younique 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara 100% Genuine ?Without box? UK Seller?”

There is a pic of the of a ladies hand holding both the transplanting gel and fibres with writing on “WHY PAY MORE ?”

Why pay more? Because I value my eyesight and would like to know I’m not putting ink and fibre glass anywhere near my eyes! I’m not saying that’s what’s in the fake ones, but as there is no evidence of ingredients it might well be those things plus more harsh chemicals!

So I will not be using this product and I will be buying from a representative. I tried to save money when I was sceptical from the jump! Silly move! 🙁

I am sorry to hear that hon. It is sort of one of those things “if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is”. And you’re right. I’ve had women come here as if to say that Younique is at it – and how their 3D Fiber Mascara from Ebay or Amazon works perfectly. It may look the same and work the same but doesn’t mean it IS the same…Lord knows what chemicals are in it – if it has a smell it could be quite bad. Eh? That’s “why pay more” – for naturally based ingredients and no harmful chemicals!! 🙂

Hey I just got a 3d mascara and I’m second guessing it. The packaging looks exactly the same as the one in the pic but the instruction paper that comes inside says its for younique products in pleasent grove UT so I’m really confused pls help…

Oh and everything else is good as well the box just smell new and the gel doesn’t have a strong smell like others they they have so pls help..

    • July 4, 2015 at 7:26 am

If you bought from anywhere other than a Younique presenter then it’s fake. Pleasant Grove is what the fakes say. It may be cheaper, look the same and even work the same but it will NOT be the same…in terms of what’s actually IN them. Did you read the Real Vs Fake 3Ds blog too?

Frankly I’d wait 2 weeks and then ordered the brand new, REAL new version of these 3D Fiber Lashes+ – which go on sale the 15th. We have two patent pending on them and it is totally revolutionized inside and out.

This is an interesting read for buyers to BEWARE of 3D toxic-fake mascara on ebay’s community.

Anyway just be careful with that mascara. x

I live in abu dhabi so I bought it from, the smell is really bad, I will try to ask for my refund I’m really disappointed and sad.

    • July 6, 2015 at 11:49 am

I replied privately but wanted to say here too – I am sorry for your Smell FAKE mascara purchase. Will add that site to the places to avoid. With our new 3D Fiber Lashes+ launching next week hopefully the counterfeit mascara will be a thing of the past! We have 2 international patents pending so I doubt they’ll be able to make the fakes quite so easy! Good luck on the refund. I can find out how much one would be to send to Abu Dhabi and if you need to buy a real one we can work that out! PS: I have a Scottish friend running a hotel there… xx

I just received my “younique 3D lashes” from a seller on eBay. The gel definitely smells… The labels are so close to the original!! Crazy! The boxes are basically the same… It’s the smell that is a dead giveaway… Sad! I should have known! I’m going to try and ask for a refund and then just get the real thing like I should have.. Thanks for the information!

    • August 17, 2015 at 10:27 pm

      I am sorry hon..That is a shame.

Just so you know – Younique just launched the new 3D Fiber Lashes – same price but some improvements inside and out. So try to maybe get them…Totally different boxes and formula etc. 🙂

Hi there I bought the new 3D fibre lash plus from eBay £9.50, it’s the new one, do you still think it’s impossible to fake the new ones, the gel smells pretty bad, everything looks exactly as the real product, totally confused and don’t know why I bought it from them, as I have bought the real ones just recently, trying to get a bargain I suppose, but obviously not 🙁

What’s to keep yonique sellers from selling their stuff on eBay? All sellers want to move up with sales? We sell our paint on eBay all day everyday, it real good stuff too, made in the USA. All the 3-D lashes is made in China.

    • November 12, 2015 at 8:22 pm

If you’re in “Direct Sales”, it’s against the rules to sell on Amazon or Ebay or similar. This is the same whatever the Direct Sales company. The whole idea of and MLM is that you’re selling to the person direct…That means not in shops, not online, other than wherever the product you’re buying is based.

The Younique 3D Fiber Lashes are made in the USA now (as of July) not China.
